三、教學目標 Objectives
In the Asia-Pacific region, several regional economic blocks have been developing in tandem with free trade agreements (FTAs), such as Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), ASEAN, Free Trade Area of the Asia Pacific (FTAAP), and ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand. As a result, structural change in trade flows and relocation of production lines among the member countries influence logistics industry and sea and air transport systems. In the era of trade liberalization in the globalized economy, this course aims to cultivate students’ capability to understand maritime transport and international logistics maritime transport and logistics connectivity in the region.
四、課程內容 Course Description
●整體敘述 Overall Description This course begins with overview of development of regional economic block in the waves of free trade agreements (FTA) in the Asia Pacific region because these developments influence structural changes in trade flows and as a consequence, maritime transport and international logistics are affected. Therefore, this course also touches upon maritime connectivity in the region in the context of international logistics. Strategy and business behavior of key players in the maritime transport and international logistics are discussed in the course. In so doing, Taiwan’s position is also addressed responding to the above developments.
