三、教學目標 Objectives
英語詞源學的授課重點，在介紹英文裡常見的拉丁文的字首、字根、字尾，以及由此衍生出的相關英文詞彙，修課同學可依此法，系統性地增進英文的字彙能力。
English Etymology is designed for those students who are keen on enlarging their word power in a systematic and scientific way. It explores the learned part of the English lexis, with an emphasis slanted toward the origin and history of Latinate words.
