本課程是對英文語言學的介紹。本學期課程結束後學生應該能: 理解並解釋語言研究中的關鍵概念。 識別和描述不同層次的語言基本單位(語音、單字、句子、意義)。 分析基本語言學領域進行語音學、音韻學、字形學、句法學、語義學和語用學等分析。 應用語言學概念分析英語使用的例子。 在小組活動中有效合作,解決語言學問題並討論概念。 運用GAI工具作為語言分析和學習的輔助工具,並對其輸出進行批判性評估。 本課程配合教育部教學實踐研究計畫,修課學生即為研究參與者。 |

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: Understand and explain key concepts in the study of language. Identify and describe the fundamental units of language at different levels (sounds, words, sentences, meaning). Perform basic linguistic analysis in the areas of phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. Apply linguistic concepts to analyze examples of English language use. Collaborate effectively in group activities to solve linguistic problems and discuss concepts. Utilize a Generative AI tool as an auxiliary aid for linguistic analysis and learning, and critically evaluate its output. Gain a solid foundation for further study in linguistics. |

●整體敘述 Overall Description 本課程配合教育部「教學實踐研究計畫」進行,修課學生即為研究參與者。 課堂作業、測驗與學習歷程將作為研究資料,並以匿名方式分析,不影響成績與個人權益。 This course is intended for all students interested in language science, cognitive science, languages, communications, and related fields. Discussion sections are synchronous and attendance is required in order to receive full credit. Discussion section time will be spent on guided exercises. Homework will consist of short problem sets. |

You are encouraged to work together with classmates to solve the problem. In general, the 150-minute class period will be divided into the following activities: Summary of the reading presentation 2. Q & A Discussion 3. Minds-on and/or heads-on activities Students need to Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT). Students will be expected to attend our weekly meetings. Active participation in these course meetings is required. Students are expected to deliver a reading presentation on one of the course readings. Students are expected to come out a project related to the theme of the course. | |||||||||
