三、教學目標 Objectives
中國哲學若由歷史的演進來看，一般可分為先秦、兩漢、魏晉、唐宋與明清哲學等數個時期。因著時代變遷的多重因素，思想的演變造成了多樣的中國哲學型態。本課程作為中國哲學概論，主要目標在於一方面幫助同學掌握中國哲學的基本問題，而另一方面則在於幫助同學奠定良好的根基，有助於同學更好的理解哲學史上各家的哲學思想。有別於哲學史的課程，本課程將超越時代性，而聚焦於中國哲學的一些根本主題，包含：道論、天論、命論、理論、氣論、禮論、太極陰陽論、五行論、感應論、性論、心論、體用工夫論與聖人論等。本課程將分別介紹這些主題的問題形塑、主要論證，以及相關的古今重要著作。
The history of Chinese Philosophy can be generally classified into several periods: pre-Qin, western and eastern Han, Wei and Jin, Tang and Song, and Ming and Qing. The progression of thoughts leads to a variety of Chinese philosophical types. As an introduction to Chinese philosophy, this course aims on the one hand to help students master the fundamental problems in Chinese philosophy, and on the other to have a better grasp of the philosophical ideas in the history of Chinese philosophy. Unlike a course of history of philosophy, this course goes beyond the temporality and focuses on certain fundamental topics: dao, tian, ming, li (patterns), qi, li (rituals), tai-ji and yin-yang, wu-xing, gan-ying, xing, xin, ti-yong and gong-fu, and sage. Of each topic, this course will introduce their problem framing, arguments, and the relevant ancient and modern works.
