This course is designed to nurture in students an interest in the Chinese Mainland affairs and cross-strait relations. Through an in-depth analysis of China’s politico-economic developments as well as the past trajectory of cross-strait relations, students are expected to learn to appreciate the nature and potential future trends of these relations.

This class will be conducted in a manner befitting a seminar. Interactions between the instructor and students are expected and encouraged. Topics to be discussed will be presented with the aid of PowerPoint slide show. Audio/video materials may also be shown whenever available and deemed necessary.
